Ashlar Block in Course Masonry
This style combines rubble and ashlar masonry, as well as stones that have been hammer-dressed or roughly tooled from the faces of the masonry stones. Rubble masonry may be used for the wall’s backing.
Ashlar Fine Masonry
Each stone is cut to a consistent size and shape, virtually rectangular, for use in ashlar fine masonry buildings. Because of this, the stones next to it can be joined perfectly vertically and horizontally. It is highly expensive to build with fine masonry ashlars.
Rock and Quarry Faced
Every stone in this form of masonry has a 25 mm wide strip around its edge that was cut with a chisel. The face’s remaining section is preserved in its original shape.
Ashlar Rough Masonry
The sides of these stones have been meticulously chiseled and dressed. Tools are used to create a rough surface on the stones. A strip of 25 mm width is supplied around the outside of each stone’s rough-dressed face.
Ashlar Chamfered Masonry
As can be seen in the figure below, a strip is offered. However, using a chisel with a depth of 25mm, the sides are chamfered or beveled at an angle of 45 degrees.
